About the Courses
The MicrodegreeTM Specialization is in-depth learning courses in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing specifically designed to upskill AI engineers. You can choose to specialize in one or both courses and will get certifications upon successful completion.
Computer Vision
Course Duration: 3 months
Learn Computer Vision concepts, such as image processing, feature detection, image classification, and object recognition. You will use these concepts in applications such as self-driving cars and visual surveillance.
Natural Language Processing
Course Duration: 3 months
Learn concepts of text normalization, classification, clustering, language modeling, parsing, information extraction, and machine translation. You will then use these concepts to apply NLP in dialogue systems (chatbots) and question-answering systems.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of linear algebra and calculus
- Knowledge of probability and statistics
- Programming experience in Python
- Experience implementing computer science algorithms and object-oriented programming
- The ability to run programs and interpret output from a command line terminal or shell
Course Outcome
- Sound background in traditional as well as state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing techniques and methods
- Good understanding of the basic concepts and possible applications of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing
- Ability to start building Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing models, and deploy those models into production
